Dog Training Bootcamp

NH Dog bootcamp

Does your puppy need training but you just don’t have the time? Maybe you wish you could see results sooner rather than later? Send him to us for a week or two and we will take care of the rest!

Our 1 and 2 week bootcamp options are a way for the dog to board and train at the same time. He stays with us, right inside our house and becomes a part of our family/pack. On a daily basis he learns all the lessons of how to be well-behaved for when he goes back home to you. He gets to come to school with us during the day and home with us at night to ensure maximum training opportunities and results that last.

During their stay with us we are able to address coming when called, staying when told, walking nicely on a leash with me, crate training, socialization with other dogs, appropriate play, treadmill training, impulse control and good manners. They adjust to our home routine and adapt the house rules and regulations that go along with it. They become more confident, trusting and respectful all at the same time.

There is constant communication with you throughout their stay with daily updates via text, phone, email, photos, videos and/or Facebook.

With all that being said, your follow-through at home is still crucial. This means that you commit to continuing these new habits and routines once the dog is home again. If not, the behavior will go right back to the way it was before he came. It does you no good if he only behaves at my house and not yours.

This these programs come with sorrow education for the owners too. Along with homework assignments, accountability and follow-up lessons, its ultimately your responsibility as to whether this new behavior lasts.

Frequently Asked Questions About Our Dog Bootcamps

Boot camps can be amazing for the right dog. We understand that it can sometimes be hard when you’re first starting out and implementing dog training on your own while still trying to balance out a life. With bootcamps, we get all the initial hard work and repetitions done for you in the beginning and all you have to do is follow through with the protocol going forward. Your pup will come home with instructions and homework exercises broken down day by day for you to follow in order to maintain their progress. It is also a great way to give yourself a break while your pup gets safely socialized with other dogs.

When you send your pup to Boot Camp with us we ask that you simply pack the essentials… 1) Their regular food and 2) A bed or blanket that smells like home. Your pup will “work” for his/her meals, meaning instead of eating their regular food out of a bowl, it is incorporated into their training rewards. The dogs stay in the house with us, come to school with us during the day and then back home with us at night. What we work on during Boot Camp will be different from dog to dog based on their individual needs and what is important to that particular family.

Yes. Knowing your limits and when to ask for help along with being gut level honest whether you have the time to put in the work is important. Sending your dog away for training is nothing to be ashamed of. You are simply utilizing help and leverages resources at your disposal. Now that does not mean you are given a free pass on the matter either as much of the success is dependent on training the people too. This means you get to follow through with your homework assignments and do the routines asked of you once your pup returns home. And no, he will not be mad at you or forget who you are upon his return. Training will build and strengthen that bond ten fold and you’ll be amazed at the new connection you are able to create.

Absolutely! Dogs are scent based, not sight, so they identify and recognize the smell of their people way faster than the visual of them regardless of how long it has been. A dog’s nose, knows… trust me, they don’t forget!

No. We treat all of our clients like one of our own. They are a part of our everyday lives and live right alongside us and our own personal dogs right in our home. Our clients truly are really special animals to us and the bond that is built during training is incredible.
